RENTAL TERMS

Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)

The partial Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) limits a driver’s liability in case a rented vehicle is damaged, according to the terms of the rental contract.
Instead of the full cost, the driver is generally liable for the first part, also known as ‘excess’. This cover applies to all designated drivers of the rented vehicle.

Third Party Liability

Third Party Liability (TLP) covers a driver’s liability for damage to any other property, apart from the rented vehicle itself. It also covers damages inflicted to other people, even if they were not passengers of the rented car, under the terms of the rental agreement.

Theft Protection (TP)

Theft Protection (TP) limited a driver’s liability up to the cost resulting from the theft of the rented car - or the damaged caused by the theft or the attempt for theft - up to a ‘liability’ amount, according to the terms of the rental agreement. Theft Protection does not cover bodily (physical) damages, that can be covered by a travel insurance company or a personal insurance policy.

Driving charges

A New Driver Fee will be applied for customers 19-21 old - 7,00 € per day, tax not included, up to a maximum of 100,00 €. A year is required to have passed since the licence’s issue date.

An Elderly Driver Fee is applied to customers more than 76 years old - 5,92 € including taxes.

Customers are required to pay all toll fees, speeding, illegal parking fines and other fines - as well as all administrative costs incurred by them.

Accepted payment methods at counter

A credit card is required for this booking.

The driver is required to have a Credit card on his name to collect a vehicle. The card needs to have the necessary funds for the guaranty deposit. Also, the card will be used for the local charges, extra equipment or any extras you add to the booking locally.

Cash and debit card are not accepted.

Note: This company does not accept prepaid cards, debit cards or virtual credit cards. Visa Dankort Cards are not accepted.

Not all rental vehicle companies accept the Chinese UnionPay credit cards. Please the UnionPay website for further details.

Driver License Conditions

At pick-up, the main driver as well as any other drivers need to hold a driver license on their name.

All drivers need to hold a driver license for at least 1 year.

Identification Papers

A passport or national ID is required.

Age Requirements

The minimum age limit for this car is 20 years.

The maximum age limit for this car is 80 years.

All charges and limitations imposed by the car rental company regarding age will be applied to all additional drivers.

Arrival Details

Flight information - In case you arrive by airplane, you will need to provide us with the flight number at least 3 days before the commence of your rental service. If you fail to do this, we will not be held responsible if the flight is delayed and this results in the unavailability of your vehicle. Please ensure you add your flight number and not any other number sent to you by the airline, such as for instance a confirmation number.

Guaranty

The car rental company requires a guaranty deposit of 440,00 € excluded tax at pick-up. The guaranty deposit will be refunded after delivery if all terms have been met. Special categories are except: D, D1,E,E1 guaranty deposit of 880,00 €

Due to currency fluctuations and other possible bank charges, the car rental company cannot be held liable for any difference of the amount paid.

Damages Cover

All drivers need to comply with the rental terms: The Damages Cover product does not refund any payment for any cost that derives from conditions that violate these terms, such as dangerous, careless or negligent driving, errors in refuelling, or driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
If you choose our Damage Protection Product, the car rental company will again reserve a guaranty on your credit card for the car upon pick-up to cover possible damage or loss of the rented car - however our Damage Protection Product relieved you of your liability to pay for the damage costs detailed herein and we will refund the amount withheld from the guaranty deposit to cover these expenses in accordance with the terms described herein.

Full Cover

If you choose our Full Cover before the car pick-up, Motorclub.gr will relieve you from your liability (and we will refund any payment) for:

  • damage charges of tented car’s external and mechanical parts, including:
    • bodywork, roof
    • Windscreen, windows, mirrors
    • wheels, tires, wheel trims
    • engine, clutch, battery
    • locks
  • immobilization fees (to cover loss of revenue, while the car is being repaired and cannot be rented out)
  • charges for providing road assistance because of a break-down or accident
  • charges connected to a driver locked out of the rental car or losing its key(s)
  • the amount charged by the car rental company because of the claim for civil protection of theft of the car
  • the management fees charged by the car rental company on any of these points.

Motorclub.gr's Full Protection of Damage Protection product will not relieve you of your liability regarding:

  • repairs, road assistance or other service not approved by the car rental company
  • cleaning charges or damage to the interior of the car (unless caused by a collision)
  • damage / loss of child seats, GPS devices or other "extra" equipment

If you purchase one of products of Motorclub.gr to protect your liability during your rental, you will be able to receive the benefits of the product, however, we are unable to proceed with any refund if you do not proceed to a claim.

Settlement Coverage

Cover Agreement

When picking up the car, you can decide whether you want to buy extra coverage to reduce or deduct your liability, or to cover things that your CDW does not cover, such as tires and windshields.
Please ensure you read the terms and conditions of the cover you receive while signing the rental agreement upon pick-up to familiarize yourself with the exceptions and the limitation of this policy.
These policies usually exclude things like windscreens, glasses, wheels, tires, interior, personal items, towage fees & off-road damage - as well as any 'additional equipment' rented by the car rental company, such as child seats and GPS devices.
Please note that your cover will be cancelled out of negligence, misfuelling or breakage of the lease agreement (for example, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs).

If additional insurance, or additional cover is purchased at the car rental company's cash desk, the amount of the guaranty will be reduced

Administration Fee

Any damages to the car will be charged by the car rental company Motoclub.gr after the car is returned - and an Administration Damage Fee will be charged in addition to the amount that is deducted from the liability amount.

An Immobilization Fee is payable and compulsory in case of an accident. This fee is additional to the amount deducted from the liability amount and is compulsory. This charge is calculated according to the car category and the number of days needed for repair.

Full fuel tank- full fuel tank

The fuel tank of a vehicle will be full or partially full at pick-up. At the end of the rental service, the vehicle will need to be delivered having the same amount of fuel in the tank.
In case it is delivered having less fuel, the customer will be charged for the missing fuel. The fuel charge will depend on the size of the fuel tank and the price police of the car rental company.
The customer will be required to leave a deposit for the fuel cost - usually in the form of an amount reserved (but not deducted) on the credit card upon signing the car rental agreement.
The car rental company may allow or demand from the customer to pay for the fuel upon its delivery.

Out of Hours Service

If you need your car out of normal office hours, whether being at pick-up or delivery, the car rental company will make sure the availability of a staff member. Notice is required before this service and you will be charged a fee to cover it.

This service’s fee is 25 €.

Limits and Boarders Rules

Customers whose travel plans also include driving outside the country of rental (traveling on several islands within the same country) should inform Motorclub.gr before they pick up their car to obtain the necessary document.

Taxes & Fees

Any additional services are subject to sales and local taxes.

Additional Equipment Conditions

The additional equipment is subject to sales and local taxes.

Customers that require additional equipment may need to leave a deposit at the car rental company’s counter.

Additional Drivers

The cost of adding an additional driver is 2.50 € inc.tax per day.

The car rental company will apply charges and limitations as far as the age of the additional drivers is concerned.

Motorclub.gr Important Information

To make sure you understand the rules and laws for driving a rented car inland and abroad, it is important that you fully read the Terms & Conditions before picking up your car.

In particular, please make sure you are aware of what documents and other forms you have to take with you (e.g. driving license, passport identification documents, payment card) and what you have to pay at the car rental company's cash desk. If you do not fulfil all that is required, the car rental company may not allow you to collect the vehicle.

By proceeding to the booking of this service, you verify that you have read and accepted our Terms and Conditions.

Upon pick-up of your car, the car rental company will ask you to sign the rental agreement. Please ensure you have read it carefully - in case you find a section unclear, discuss it with the car rental company before signing.

Information on Currency Exchange Rates and Fees It is noted that Motorclub.gr cannot be held liable to any fluctuations on exchange rates or any fees imposed by a bank or a credit card issuer. Based on that, the amount shown on your credit card may differ from the amount you saw when you made your reservation. Also, if we need to credit your account with any money, we will refund the exact amount originally charged by us.

 

Additional Important Information

Accident or Breakdown - In case of a breakdown, accident or mechanical problem, you should immediately call the car rental company. They will need to approve the repair or the car replacement. Please keep copies of all the documents you will be asked to fill out. These are required in case you wish to make a claim. For accidents, you will need a police report and an event report to hand over to the car rental company's cashier.

Road Assistance - Motorclub.gr will provide you with some emergency road assistance for which you may need to pay. Upon pick-up of your car, please make sure you have found all the documentation regarding road assistance. Lost keys - In case you lose your key(s), you will be charged a replacement cost.

Seat belt - In any country you drive, the driver and passengers must wear seat belts if present, wherever they sit in the car.

Price Calculation - Prices are based on pick-up times and dates arranged by you before commencing the rental service. In case you choose to collect the car later or deliver it sooner, no refund of the unused time will be issued.

Upon pick-up, a customer may choose a different car from the one reserved.
By doing so, an extra charged will be applied, even if the new car is smaller than the one initially reserved.

If you have been involved in an accident and the car has been overturned you may be asked to pay an additional amount in addition to the amount of liability.

If customers have to extend the rental service or make any changes after they have collected the car, they will have to return the car to the original rental location to resign the lease agreement.

Cancelation, No-show & Changes

Caseation of a Fully Prepaid Reservation

  • If you cancel 48 hours or more before the commence of the hire service, the payment you have made will be refunded.
  • If you cancel within 48 hours before pick-up, the cost of a 3-day rental service will be withheld and the rest of the payment will be refunded:
    • If you keep the car for less than 3 days, no extra charge will be applied, but no refund will be received.
  • If you do not show at the agreed time and date, or / and do not provide all the necessary documents or / and do not provide a credit card with enough available funds, the car rental company may refuse you the car.

         Reservation with Deposit Cancellation

  • If you cancel in 48 days or more before the commence of your rental service, the deposit will be retained and the rest of the remaining payment you have made will be refunded.
  • If you cancel in less than 28 hours in advance, but before the commence of your rental service, the deposit or the cost of a 3-day rental charge (whatever is greater) will be retained and you will receive a refund of the remaining amount.
    • If you have reserved the car for less than 3 days, no extra charge will be applied, but no refund will be received.

No-show
No-show is when:

  • You wish to cancel but you have not informed us before the commence of the rental service, or
  • You fail to collect your car at the agreed time and date, or
  • You do not provide us with the appropriate documentation to collect the car, or
  • You fail to provide us with a credit card on the main driver’s name with enough funds in it.

In all these cases, no refund will be issued for the payments you have made.

The car rental company reserves the right to refuse the car to any customer who cannot arrive on time with all the necessary documents and a credit card with enough available funds to deposit the car's guaranty deposit. In such a case, unless the rental service has been cancelled in advance, the customer will not be entitled to a refund.

Alterations
You may change your online rental, free of charge, at any time before the commence of your rental service. In case you have changed a service that affects the rental price (e.g. location, vehicle category or the duration of the rental service), you will be charged at current prices that may differ from the one you had initially been charged.
Please contact us if your pick-up takes place in less than 48 hours and you wish to modify your booking.
Please, note: Prices are based on pick-up times and dates arranged by you before commencing the rental service. In case you choose to collect your vehicle later or deliver it earlier, the cost of the unused hours or days will not be refunded.
